Studio Gledhill
Put Down Your Screens. Pick Up A Brush
Artist-led oil painting experiences that bring your people together. In person, by hand, for real.
Oxford · London · Cotswolds
There is a particular atmosphere that happens when people make things together. We’ve spent years learning how to create it.
What Happens in the Room
An Actual Break
Two hours of making something with your hands, away from screens, notifications and the mental noise of the working day.
No Experience Needed
Our sessions are lead by working artists who start with a live painting demonstration to demystify the process. People who've never painted before pick up a brush and surprise themselves.
Something Shifts
Painting side-by-side, conversations start that wouldn't happen anywhere else. There's laughter. There's focus. People connect naturally.

What People Say
About Studio Gledhill
Studio Gledhill was founded by artist Stacey Gledhill with one idea at its centre: that making something with your hands changes how you feel. It sounds simple. It turns out to be true.
Stacey has watched it happen hundreds of times — in Oxford college rooms, in Cotswolds barns, in corporate offices — with people who arrived certain they had no creative bone in their body and left carrying a painting they'd made themselves. The transformation is quiet and consistent and it never gets old.
It happened closer to home too. Stacey saw what regular creative activity did for her father-in-law, who has lived with severe depression for much of his life. Painting and making things finally opened space when little else had. This is the reason Studio Gledhill exists.
No experience required. No talent test. No pressure. Just two hours away from screens and deadlines, a brush in your hand, and more fun than most people expect.

Good news: that's exactly who these workshops are designed for. A lot of our participants arrive curious but convinced they can't paint — and leave surprised by what they've made. Stacey creates a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere from the moment people walk in, and the session is structured so that everyone can follow along at their own pace, with support throughout. There's no judgement, no pressure, and no wrong answers. The goal isn't a perfect painting. It's two hours where your people get to slow down, try something new, and enjoy the rare experience of making something with their hands.

For drawing events there's no upper limit — charcoal and pencil are easy to scale. For painting workshops we currently accommodate groups of up to 20, but we're open to fitting more. If you have a larger group, get in touch and we'll make it work.

We've led over 200 creative experiences in meeting rooms, common rooms, and café spaces. We bring decorator's cloths to cover surfaces, provide aprons for every participant, and wipe any stray paint spills before we leave. Your space will be returned exactly as we found it.
